Jewelry is so much more meaningful when its design tells a story.
Andrew asked Alex to marry him on the flat top of Mount Roraima, where the borders of Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana meet. He fashioned a ring for her from a sparkling quartz crystal he found in a stream bed on the plateau of the table-top mountain, or 'Tepuis' as it's known by the local Pemon people. When they returned from their travels, he commissioned me to make her engagement ring.
I designed a number of rings which spoke of their trek up Mount Roraima, the one he chose reflects the quartz crystal ring he made for her. After months of searching we were able to find a rough diamond crystal from Roraima to incorporate into the design.
